Vacation in Prison

Recently, my sis just came back from her trip to Kuantan (somewhere in malaysia). She went there for her band trip to pratice for National Day concert or something, but what the heck, thats not my problem. Anyways her trip remind me of my trip to somewhere else when i was 17.

There i was, holding a post in the school's interact club, we hafta go to this place at Seremban for some conferrence. Our rotarian(some rich old guys who like to do charity) told us that the place we're going to stay is very nice and comfortable. (Sound very tempting huh?) so, we group of 7 went there to stay in that "very nice and comfortable"place.

The reality was, we reach there, that damb place was a school with swimming pool and its on top of a hill. The bus wasn't going up there, so we hafta take our big heavy bags and hike our way up.
The front building look so nice, like a hotel, but the inside was actually a run down school which looks alot like a prison. I must say here that the seremban prison is just behind the school, so at night we can see lights flashing into our room and occasionally we heard sirens.

Our cell/room was 1 big room with 10 double decker beds, like in prison, and the windows are grilled. The beds got fleas and there was only 2 fans in the cell. So, it was hot like hell during the day and night and freaking cold in early morning (4-5 am). The toilet got no water, and u can't flush. (1 time, i got up and saw this damn big piece of crap lying there in the bowl harden, i tried to flush it by using the water hose connected to the tap, it took me 30 seconds to flush that thing). Anyways, at night, we pulled out all the bed sheets and place all of them under the only fan and cuddle up together. (We felt like illegal immigrants from mainland) watching the spot lights from the nearby prison flashing into our rooms and hoping there was no runaway prisonner.

We woke up very very early in the morning for slavery/morning exercise that i think is actually useless. (I went for the 1st day and the rest of the week, i just ignore them and continue my sleep.) Our breakfast, lunch and dinner taste like prison food (curry chicken, bread, stale rice, salted fish.........) i must state here that the canteen really looks like a prison. When we got in, they locked the grilled gate saying they don't want anyone escape from the school.

The only place which got air con there was the high-class school hall where we spend most of our time there.(Air-con = cold, nice comfortable) and how we wished we could sleep in the school hall. When we take our bath the 1st day, we didn't know that the school have low water pressure, so end up, when our body is soapy, there's no water to wash it away, (OMG!!!!!!!!!)so we hafta wait till water come back. The next day we got smarter and go take our bath at 4am in the morning where there's plenty of water to use.

The school/prison has a swimming pool which u must only wear bikini or underwear or naked to swim. Anything longer than your underwear is consider too long and u cannot go in the swimming pool. (i was wearing a swiming pants and they don't let me go in, i was not going in naked, so i better off go play basketball)

Nothing much happen at the prison, other than listening to a bunch of people talk crap about self-esteem and confidence. The only funny part was in our agenda, there was this 'formal dinner'. So all the girls there put on heavy make up and hair settings. We knew there was no such thing cause we didn't see any catering people around there. So we just wore our singlet and t-shirt and go to the prison canteen to have our 'formal dinner'. There we saw those heavy make up girls showing their true faces when their make up crack and fall.

So in the end, the only best time there was our guys trip in to the girls dorm and hang around there and the last day party at night.

So, anyways, the trip was nice and all of us said to ourselves never to go for another prison trip anymore no matter how tempting it is. Damn u lying adults.

p/s: i actually felt like people cheated into being an illegal immigrant and sold into slavery during the trip.

Hungry Ghost Festival

This month, is the hungry ghost festival month, where it is said that the gates of the underworld is opened to release those poor ghost/spirits. (Poor as in no money and stuffs cause these are wandering spirits where nobody burns hell notes and they are really poor and hungry) So it is up to us generous living people burn them some food, money and clothes and ask for protection and and guidance in return. This years festival is different than those previous years because my dad taught me all the prosedures. (i suppose so that i can do it when i'm living alone next time, sort of like passing down from generation to generation) Anyways, 1st we piled up stacks of so called "gold" (which are made by folding a type of papers to look like 1) Then we piled up hell notes (money which have big numbers like 100 million dollars and 100k dollars by bank of hell, the currency really looks like indonesian money). After all the "valubles" are there, then we stack up "clothes" then we have thos small little pink cup cakes (these cup cakes are for ghost to eat, but i eaten 1 before when i was little, it taste ok and not sweet). Then, we pray abit then put some fruits and drinks (normally we serve them orange juice, i dunno why). 1 wierd thing is, when we stack up those stuffs, there was no wind, but when we burn all those offerings, srong wind started blowing so hard that u can see burned hell notes flying high up in the sky, and the wind was very cold. (i suppose it's those spirits come to take the offerings) So i prayed again and told them my name, address and my family name and ask for their help to let my family luck and fortune run smooth for this year. In return, if my family luck and fortune run smooth this year, next year same date i'll burn them more offerings. My dad told me this, during this month, when walking down the road, remember DO NOT STEP on those burned offering and ashes, it will bring u very bad luck for the rest of the year. So now, when i walking outsite, i will keep an eye on the road. ^^

Violent day

as i remembered very well (i must state here that i have very very bad memory, sometimes i forget where i put my glasses) today i went to petaling street aka china town to get some cds, and now i know that, people don't pay protection money for nothing. There i was, searching for the lastest Jay Chou album, i saw a couple of guys with blonde hair (it's obvious they are those gangster/triad kids who dyed their hair to look cool) arguing with one indonesian guy, shouting so loud so that da whole street can listen to what they are arguing. I suppose its about da indonesian guy stole some crap o something, anyways 1 of the blonde guys slapped that indon guy, then his other friends followed and they bashed up that indon guy. Then they dragged that guy further inside where another group was waiting there and man, they really kicked his butt. Now i know, this is the protection that u get when u pay protection money. They really protect ur stall.

Later that day, i went to play basketball with my bro at the nearby school, its basketball and its a man's game. So i think violent is always a part of the game. Elbows and handslapping in every move, well there was this kid who put 120% effort in making violent moves like launched himself to u when u got the ball. That wasn't the violent part, there was this part where he slapped this guy's hands (slapping hands in basketball is obviously a faul) and said it was the guys fault for coming at him, and he some more shouted powerful sentences like MCH, FYM and TNMCFH. Then suddenly da guy who got slapped on his hand slapped that kid and kick his ass.

So, now we must know that, da world can be violent and we must always bring a weapon along with us. Good thing i got my pepper spray with me ^^

My very first blog

well, here it goes, i will start out by introducing my self
my name is Rzeznik Janczyk, as the name goes, i'm from Malaysia (not US), where unfairness and injustice does rule. I'm currently a music teacher in one of the Yamaha School's branches here and i will be starting my law course later this september.

so now i'm wasting my time at home playing my playstation 2 and online games. Why? u ask, cause after my STPM (which is Malaysia's A-Levels) that is so damn hard and i wasted 1 1/2 years studying like mad which also includes sleepless night. I had good results which could have landed me in any science subject bachelor courses such as Biochem or Medic (which i always wanted but the competition was very high for medic, and i have to let it go for other courses)
but the Malaysia gov gave me a very instresting course which is FOREST FARMING (perladangan dan perhutanan)

i was like "wtf man!!!!" i studied for almost 7 years just to do farming?!!! goddamit, my results that was 10 times much better than all other ppl and i got farming courses?!! ( in malaysia, if u are not a malay, things is really unfair to u, but if u are, then it's a much more different story where u can get any university places regardless wat results u get) so i wasted much time and money asking to change course, (well any science courses will do, even those computer courses) but nooooooooooooooooooo, they wil not give me a course change, why? cause they say the university has "no more place" for u to go in and u might as well take up this "farming" course.
(i suppose if i was a malay, the deam wil say "don't worry, we wil give u a place no matter what cost")

so, i told him u take this course, and give it to your son, and i dun want this crap course.
Anyways, the moral of the story is, next time no matter how hard i have to work, even 24 hours a day, i will earn enough money so that my children can go to college and not some crap form 6 which u will never get the course u want in the university. oh yea, forgot to mention, i got 1 friend, who got 4 As (which is the best results that u can get, and he got forestry instead of medic, yup, that's right, he's not a malay)

so, this warps it up for the pass 6 months that i just wasted, so i wil continue tomorrow wit something else..............
